Last month, Central Area residents celebrated summer in Seattle with the inaugural Judkins Park Community Movie Night. Hosted by Judkins Park Community Council with Mount Baker Baptist Church, the celebratory night brought together more than 100 neighbors to watch an all-time favorite, The Sandlot.
Before the movie began, neighbors enjoyed hot dogs hosted by Vulcan, and watched videos highlighting the work of the Multimedia Resources and Training Institute, a local organization founded by a group of professionals, technologists, educators, parents, and youth in the Greater Seattle Area. MMRTI’s mission is to prepare the underserved immigrant youth in the community for success in multimedia technology locally, regionally, and globally.
